About Us
Questing Stone is different from other sites. Yeah, I know, everybody thinks their site is unique, but while they give you lip service, we actually are different. We offer you features no one else does. We let you be as specific or as vague as you want. Other sites insult your intelligence by giving you one text field to search for keywords and then give you 10,000 results to search through. We let you customize your search as much as you want, and you may only get 3 results, but it will be what you're looking for. Our dining and nightlife section gives you options in your search criteria like "open now". So, if you get the munchies at midnight, you can find a place that's open in your area. We also have the "map it from my house" button. You can get a map and directions to your chosen establishment with click of a button, and without having to go to another site. Getting you where you want to go faster and with fewer clicks. This idea of giving you what you want without making you sift through a mountain of irrelevant results to get to it is carried through to the other parts of our site as well. However we do rely on you, our users to help keep us honest. If you see something incorrect or an improvement that can be made, please contact us and let us know. Mission Statement
Questing Stone intends to build a powerful, relevant and very user-friendly Web site by combining powerful search engine technology with the dynamism of social networking and viral Internet communication to deliver far more targeted and relevant results that reflect the current interests of Web users. Harnessing information that reflects the current passions and interests of Web citizens will keep the database up-to-date and growing through the viral nature of the Internet, negating the need for much of the costly and quickly irrelevant page indexing employed by existing search engines. Special Thanks
We here at Questing Stone would like to take up some space to thank some people who made the dream possible. Jon Marcel for making
"checkdowns" a real working interface, not just some idea we came up with. Bob Dixon for helping us in business matters and marketing communications. And Corrie Chasan for entering enough places in the database to make beta testing possible.
